BEING one of the largest clubs in England, there have been numerous books written about Leeds United.

If you want to learn more about Leeds United, or just want an entertaining read, here are a few titles based on the mighty Whites.

The Unforgiven: The Story of Don Revie’s Leeds United by Rob Bagchi and Paul Rogerson – Buy me

J. Endeacott said:

“I read this book years ago and found it intriguing, well written, informative and entertaining, even though I couldn’t agree with all the points raised by the authors. I think there were a couple of tiny errors too but nonetheless, it’s a great read.

“This is one of the best Leeds-related books I’ve ever read – I’d recommend it even though it’s not always the ‘prettiest’ reading for Leeds fans!”

T. M. Chaney said:

“This is an excellent book about the most potent team in it’s day. It’s a story of near-do wells who could have had a cabinet crammed full of trophies but fell at the final hurdle so many times.

“What the book really needs however is a complete data file of all the games of each year covered, all the goalscorers and end of season league tables and so on. This information is not hard to find and it would have made a very good book complete in every way.”

Leeds United and a Life in the Press Box by John Wray – Buy me

Paul Thompson said:

“This book is a fantastic insight into the relationship between managers and the media, written with a humourous and articulate style. The short chapters make it very easy to read. I thoroughly enjoyed the frank, witty and honest narrative. A must for anyone with an interest in Leeds United, their past managers and journalism.”
